You are correct. The Condenser mounting in the neg. grnd. diagram appears similar to photo in post 24 for stock A wiring.

Found another schematic for negative ground which appears to be what we need. I don't recall that condensers are polarity sensitive. Perhaps 16 ga. wire would be ok for 6 and 12 volt for the short...

Any ideas how to secure a motor meter shaft to the locking cap to make it more difficult to remove? Just lifting the cap and removing the nut isn't theft resistant.

Model A Vendors sell clips to insert in punched holes in the panel board. Many people use thin cotton batting between the outer fabric and the panel, avoiding foam products.

How about the red coating (some builders use this) which looks like Glyptal from past decades, that's inside the block ? Can that come off and / or does it block passages in any way?

Our SW measures 5 1/4" from top to hole center. Better get some others' input also because I've seen a different spec but can't locate the source.
