Re: Michigan classic car laws help ?

Not across the board.

Even a standard 1941 Ford Fordor would have only had a single tail light from the factory.

Re: Bring a Trailer

I can't remember the last time I saw a paper copy of Hemmings.

They really screw their classifieds advertisers by limiting what non-subscribers are able to see in the search results for the online...

Re: Metric Piston Rings?

You can purchase inch-sized rings made with the same materials and coatings as metric-sized rings. There isn't anything special about the latter.

Re: interesting auction including 2 ARDUN V8 60's

There are actually (3) V8-60 Arduns, but who's counting? ;)

Re: HAMB going ?!?!*

No, Ryan has not deleted passwords and is not forcing people to give him control of their email by using "Inbox Helper".

The problem is on YOUR end. You have likely been "infected" with malicious...

Re: The Highwaymen Movie

Does it really matter if it was the cowl instead of the hood? The point is he's standing on the car.

Re: Urgent RMV issue for Massachusetts Car Guys

Did you check with your county treasurer about this?

I've had non-standard plates on vehicles in Iowa for as long as I've owned one. Not once have I been charged the initial fee again when the...

Re: Flathead - Has anyone "split" the center exhaust port?

Why are you using a flathead if the car you want to replicate has an OHV engine?

Use a Y-Block if that's the general look you're after. It has an exhaust port spacing similar to the engine shown.

Re: Oldest daily driver... with highway speeds

70 mph on the freeway with a load? The '32 would be a no-go. The '48 might be doable, but I'd consider it iffy.

Get yourself another 1960's Y-block (or later) truck.

What if the gauge...

Re: They're Still Out There

Stop being Chicken Little.

As noted previously, an unrestored T isn't "barely worth scrap steel value now". And when did they ever command a high dollar? As long as I can recollect, A's, B's,...

Re: Self respect

I hate creepers. They take up too much height, only work on a paved surface, don't roll where you want them to go, or roll when you don't want them to roll.

Cardboard or carpet is far more...

Re: Dual Overhead Cam Flathead

It wouldn't "loosely" be termed as an OHV head. It is an OHV head.

FWIW, the Ford flathead engine has its combustion chamber in the head, too. The location of the combustion chamber isn't what...

Re: 1934 model A

I don't think the body was ever a coupe. The doors, cowl posts, and windshield look pretty 1928-29 Model A to me.

Re: Hygrolic throwout bearing??

1) There are all-metal (aside from the rubber seals) hydraulic throwout bearings and slave cylinders on the market.
2) They can most certainly provide "real feel" from the pedal.

An alternative...

What's it say about people who live where it snows, and where they can watch buildings whirl away in a tornado?

Re: Nutserts

That's a pretty generalized statement.

There are rivet nuts available that are designed for "heavy-duty" applications, with proofload strengths equal to or greater than that of a standard hex nut...

Re: Flathead synchronized 4spd?

Actually, I'm a hot rodder, not a restorer. That said, I do respect the importance of unique vehicles such as a M-H and SnoGo converted truck. I wouldn't chop its top and turn it in to a hot rod;...
