You may have the wrong worm ,You could change it or try ,Cut the sector drop arm clocks with a hack saw ,create new teeth then move the wheel to the desired position ,

A 35 drum will fit on a 34 ok you would only be using 3/4 of the drum for the shoe contact .Not sure about the opposite 34 onto 35 I would say the drum would contact the shoe edge .

,I agree Jerry ,With respect ,I did say that .Are you sure, that doesn't sound correct at all. As far as I know the early Ford coils require an input in the 3 to 4 volt range. The battery used...

The out put from the resister should be around 6-7 volts with a 8 volt battery (hot )

GM has shown us the solder idea to ,The ballast resister you have is the original item ok for 34 through 35 they rarely give trouble but,The circuit braker next it is for the lights normal but ...

Maybe I should do a exercise and change the A one I have onto the v8 ,work out the needed spacers and modification s and offer it to macs ,I am not looking for work but it could help keep the hobby...

If you have the rives cut you should able to sit them in place and lay the shoes on them and work out what needs to be done ,even with the stop at the bottom that shouldn't make much difference...

From what I have read the pump you have looks like the one that came out in about 39 ,it has enough pressure to lift the valve in the valley so you get more over the timing gear and more to the back...
