McPherson College occasionally enters a car and they've won their division twice. I've actually driven the car they use (a 1957 Ford Fairlane) but not in the Race.

You never know... the buildings are mostly made by Pola, and they're designed to stand up to German winters, so they're pretty sturdy. I think the tricky part would be frost heaves.

For several years, I drove my Model A to work three or four days a week, back when I lived in the California Bay Area. It's doable--but you're right that you have to be on your toes all the time....
