Re: Rsk

Re: pan install

I have used the same rod several...

Re: Sound deadening suggestions

Whatever you do, don’t get carried away on the floor boards. Remember that they will have to be removed some day on the side of the road.

Re: Making an A axle steer easier

The king pins are in tension. The car hangs from the king pins, that are supported by a bearing at the top. Make sure this is what you have

Re: Old problem but new twist? Coolant loss

Check the torque on your head bolts for a start. If it is going into the engine, no you can’t live with it.

Re: Club Thinning

Jim, we are planning our trip to Amish Country, Berlin, OH next August. It would be great if you could join us, Oakleaf. Your trip there would be a little longer that ours from Michigan, but you...

Re: Stop Quick, engine dies

First and easiest thing to do is flatten the surfaces between the carb flange and intake manifold flange. I'm sure you will find them warped a bit. I have fixed several doing just this. All you...

Re: Club Thinning

We are about 75 members with a lot of new ones, but the club works hard at getting new ones. New blood, new ideas, and the new members go on more tours than the average member. We have a pkg we pass...

Re: Update on transmission plug

Just use the kerosene and then fill with new 600 oil. Put a new plug in that fits and seals.

Re: Oil pump rebuild

Be careful with the splash pan removal and install. Very sharp edges. Need a lot of band aids.

Re: Stubborn Zenith

Next time you have the carb off, hit the mounting flange a big file and make sure it is flat and not warped a bit. Can’t have any low spots.

Re: engine misses

You say no vacuum leaks. Make sure the manifold gasket is not leaking. Sometimes hard to find.

Re: Timing? Coil? need help!

If your radiator is old, it is probably plugged. Also, check your head torque.
