Re: overdrive gear oil

GL1 is the proper gear oil. You can get it at NAPA. Leaks will continue until you change the gaskets and or seal, not the grease.

Re: 1953 Ford why don't sell very good

Good question, but it sure helps with the summer heat. Another question, any other ‘53s with an ARDUN? Would love to see one.

Re: 1953 Ford why don't sell very good

Love my 53 Tudor. Started as an original six when I got it. No idea of it’s salability or value. Might be hard to sell for anything near what I got in it.

I used a PBR VH40 Booster on my ‘53 Ford with Front disc brakes. Used the booster for the front discs only and all work great. Easy to mount.

This booster is made in Australia. Spend time shop...

Re: Cool older restoration of grandma's woodie convertible

I’d be planning to spend big money on either car, especially the Town & Country. From the looks of the underside and engine, I would be concerned with what is covered up. Looks like a car made to...

Re: Temp Heat in Garage

I cut a hole in the heater ducting and put in closable vent. Works great in winter and summer for a 4 car garage.

Re: Ardun Heads

Ronnieroadster, do you know how long spark plugs should last on a normally aspired ARDUN where the plugs holes have been modified to place the spark plugs at the dome rather than being recessed?

Re: Ardun Heads

Yes except the valve holes are not bushed. Often, the valve holes have to be ground to allow for pushrods clearance. The pushrods are held in place by the special Ardun lifters and rocker arms.

Re: To flathead c4 speedway adapter

I am very happy with Ford Truck 12 volt starter. No big deal on grinding. Some don’t require grinding.

Re: To flathead c4 speedway adapter

I used Speedway’s adaptor for an AOD on an 8ba. Easy install with a little grinding for the starter. No issues or anything bad whatsoever.

Re: 1952-1953 Station Wagon Sway Bar Bushings

Nope, not at $6.00 a bushing. Nobody has indicated they have done it yet via freezing. Quite a controversial method according to web searches.
