Re: Standard Interior in a 30 Town Sedan?

It is possible the owner converted a standard into townsedan. What Y said is correct. The main thing is the wood if you are not familiar with these cars. There is a lot of wood in them. I am not sure...

Re: Rearching brake shoes.

One place I have heard of that may rearch shoes is a big rig shop. I think they still do that sort of stuff.

Re: Where and how to mount disconnect switch in Tudor without new holes in metal.

I just disconnect the battery. I modified the new floor boards so I have an extra large hole, just pop it up and loosen the nut and off the cable comes.

Re: 1931 Coupe Banger Project

Question Bob. How do you plan to relocate the water in let? To me that would require adding cast iron to the block back there.

Re: Should I pass on this A? Or would I miss out on something?

Here is my 2 cents worth. The wood is critical for this car the door comments are correct, the interior is not that big of a deal as long as mice have not gotten to it. IF they have then you will...

Re: Engine Splash Pan Installation Documentation?

I just reinstalled mine and like was said there are three holes on the frame (you will need another pair of hands) and two slots for the oil pan bolts. The only thing I will do the next time is maybe...

Re: Tillotson versus Zenith carburetor

I am assuming that your engine is like our engines and not like the British engines. But 12 or so mpg is really low. My zenith on my rebuild let’s me cruise between 50-55 and I am guessing I get...

Re: fordoor rain gutter help

Terry, yep that is what the 35k was for. I figure I go in that far to replace the wood I might as well keep going. This why I will have to find a way to glue them back in as a temp fix. I will just...

Re: fordoor rain gutter help

Terry don't think I haven't though of that. I unfortunately, don't have 35K or the space for it. So I am stuck doing temp repairs until I can do a full resto on her.

fordoor rain gutter help

Hi all,

On a recent run to Sacramento, I almost lost the front screw on the pass side rain gutter due to rotten wood. Kept the screw, but the whole gutter was about ready to fall off. I safety...

Re: sediment bowl filter issue

Well, since the one I got from NAPA fell apart I ordered two from Brattons along with some more cork bowl gaskets. I have no idea what I did wrong but will give it another try next week.

sediment bowl filter issue

Hi All,

I just tried to install a NAPA 3039 filter in the sediment bowl. Well the center hole would not fit around the fuel inlet so I had to widen it. When I finally got everything seated...

Re: Persistent intake manifold leak

My thoughts are either hairline cracks somewhere that open up or the GAV needs to be opened up when you come to a stop. Ooooh, is the block flat where it bolts up?
