Re: R10 overdrive compatibility

Re: 8rt head milling

Find a set of EAB heads and mill them for .045 clearance. I have a set of them on my 280 engine and get 160lbs with EAB cam as well. Engine torque is unbelievable.

Re: Let's build a drag race 8BA engine

This discussion, has not solved the problem of getting air into the engineMost stock engines of 4.2/5.0 liter engines produce more power than a highly modified fathead. WHY???? they get more air.

Re: Let's build a drag race 8BA engine

Getting 14:1 CR is difficult, but not impossible. Especially with a large displacement block. However getting any HP from it would be limited by the amount of air you could get into it. Alky is not...

Re: Mallory sbc to 8BA 4 lobe cam issues

Re: Let's build a drag race 8BA engine

The actual compression an engine sees is after the intake closes. It's called "dynamic CR" and is a good reason Long duration cams don't have allot of torque at low RPMs. The volume of the...

Re: A few questions on a 8BA

I have alway found that a Clintom Manual from the lat 50s is the best source for information about these early cars and their innards. Made for the backyard mechanic.

Re: 8 ba

260 cubes, interesting intake. However without a good block the value is questionable. Sometimes known as "A pig in a Poke"

Re: Let's build a drag race 8BA engine
