1929 Briggs Fordor Interior Panels

Hi guys, I want to know how far off the fitment of the interior panels is between the 1929 Briggs fordor, and the 1930-31.

I wanted to get a set of precut panels from one of the suppliers, but...

What would be involved in marrying an original ford-o-matic 3spd...

Re: Timing of Engine

It means that when the lever is advanced, #1 won't actually fire until the rotor is in that position, based on when the timing of when the points close. In the retarded position, #1 will fire sooner...

Re: Timing of Engine

Like Mitch said, adjusting the spark lever advances the points by turning the upper plate. Doesn't change the position of rotor.

Re: Rear Window Shade in a coupe (why?)

Based on all these responses, I'd say the rear shade is the equivalent of today's modern "dimming mirror." Keeps the headlights behind us out of our eyes.

Re: Touring with a GoPro?

I would have recommended iMovie on the iphone. It, too, is free. But it's much more comprehensive and has some really nice features. It's also more user friendly, in my opinion.

Re: Lighting at the dash area

The LED tape is the way to go. Cheap, and easy to work with, and can be directly wired to a 12V power source. I used this for kitchen lighting under my new cabinets. It's probably one of your better...

Cool How much can I beat on this car?

I see a lot of threads and posts about proper maintenance with guys checking this joint, or trying to fix this leak, or constantly adjusting the carb to get that perfect mixture.

Re: difference between a roadster and deluxe roadster

If you can get the chassis and/or engine numbers from both cars, It would help determine if the car is in fact of Canadian decent, or if the car is in fact a 1928.
