Re: Getting to Know an Old Jalopy Roadster and Making It Work

Depending on what part of the country you're in, I'd like to think you could find a used engine to run without too much trouble. Perhaps asking around the local clubs? Lots of hoarders out there,...

Re: 30 ROADSTER -A hot rod in 1956 - Time for a refersh in 2012

As a quick side note, a Google search on "Harbor Freight Bead Roller" yields a great deal of reading. Bracing, converting to power, and custom dies.
Another great resource is...

Re: Sticky valves: what is the procedure?

Mdl A differential, spiders, axles

Guess I don't need a new diff after all. Not rusted solid, it just looked that way. Bearings should do the trick. I would still consider a complete rear axle, close to home.

I'm in need of a...

Re: Could this be made from Model A parts?

I recently bought a drill press (from that well known auction site) made from model T parts. It's really nifty, and should make a nice display piece for the lounge. I doubt I'll be drilling any...

Re: Model A Raffle

I've purchased several, and that's what I asked the wife to get me for Christmas. Funny, I've been asking her to get me a toy like this for years, and this is the first time she hasn't just laughed...

Re: Dating stick??

I thought it was kind of funny, the first time I saw it in a movie, some elegant, smartly-dressed gal scooting across the front seat to exit on the passenger side. Makes good sense to me. Can't...

Re: converting to open driveshaft????

The Hot Rod Works offers an open drive adapter, as well as Speedway motors. There was a recent post on the HAMB (by me) that referenced a thread by "Tman" showing how to make your own. I got a good...

Re: Any idea of tool's intended use?

Looks like it's for a gas valve. Look around your furnace.

Re: craigs list question

Ihate to ask the obvious question, but have you posted a want-ad here on Fordbarn? Seems the best place to find a hard-to-find part.

Re: Need to lower rearend, help!!

Reversing the eye in your main leaf will give you 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 inches of drop, removing leaves will also lower it some. I think the prevailing wisdom is to remove a leaf, leave a leaf, remove a...

Re: Need to lower rearend, help!!

Reverse-eye mainspring, and remove a couple of leaves?
A 55 gallon drum of booze in the back might settle it right down.:D

I hate to hi-jack, but I just have to know...

spdwy1, where can we find a larger version of that avatar pic?

That's funny right there. I'd love to save a copy for posterior-ity.
