Rockfla,
Do a parasitic draw test.... Unhook the ground cable and use a 6V bulb or a test light between the battery ground post and the battery ground strap. If there is a draw it will dimly light...

Re: Electrical Issue advice

Use a test light and do a parasitic draw test and unhook wires till the light goes out.. I'd start with the generator cut out.

Re: Drake 40 dlx headlamp rims (bezels)

These bezels are die cast and are not the best material to “bend into shape”. While I’m a drake dealer I do not typically stock these as I only stock items I’ve used. I’m gonna order in a set and try...

Re: Drake '40 tank

I’ve installed six, all without lifting the body/bed. If chipping the paint is a issue you will need to lift the body. With a lift and a minimum 4 foot long pry bar it is possible to do and many cuss...

Re: OUT of STOCK '40 parts 01A-8218-B dlx hood

I have a sneaky suspicion this item will be available again within the next year or so. I have a drake on my 40 and there is about a 1/32Ē gap in the mid section but it doesnít bother me.

Re: Need a little help on this!

The repro clips aren’t quite as good as originals but I use them weekly with no issues. I’d think it’s your cap

Re: OUT of STOCK '40 parts 01A-8218-B dlx hood

The 40 deluxe hood ornament has been out of stock for over two years. Call all Ford parts in Campbell CA. Bill there was the last dealer Iíve heard of thatís had one recently

Re: 1951 Rear Quater chrome tail light spears

I have some of the spears you could have for free, but they need replating which would be very expensive as they aren't very nice. Stay on Chris at Shoebox. He really knows these 49/51 Fords.

Re: 33-34 horn mounting brackets

There is a minimal truth to the fitment. The repops don't fit quite as good as the originals, but they do work (my 33 in my avatar has a repop on it). Are you sure you have a repro 33/34 and not a...

Re: 1934 Grille Screws

They are a 12-24 x3/8 slotted oval head in s-2 finish. Not a easy item to find local. If you use screws too long they will puncture your radiator tank. They also retain the front hood hinge and use...

Re: Crab distributor 6v to 12v

Phil, the coil we sell 3.3 ohm is a oil filled version of the Bosch 00012 coil. You certainly should be able to find one local and save on the transit cost. They were commonly used on Volkswagens

Re: Off shore adjustable lifters

Understand.. But I would imagine is the valves are ground properly, there would never be a chance of a ticking lifter. For me they are easier with the right tools than adjustables.
