BB3111 King Pins
Has anyone fitted king pins to a 1933 BB Ford truck? This is the big axle, not the pickup. Does anyone have an axle set? Thanks.

Re: ID year of engine? 49-50 or 51-53
OK most of the listings for exhaust valves look to be small block chevy valves. Does anyone make a real Ford style valve still? Do 8N Ford tractor valves work? They still show the shoulder that I am...

Re: ID year of engine? 49-50 or 51-53
The valves that came out have a shoulder near the valve head. The shoulder stops the valve from pulling too far into the guide while the unit is out of the block making it a little easier to clip the...

ID year of engine? 49-50 or 51-53
The engine that has been fitted to my 33 Ford BB truck is an 8BA. The stamped number on the block top is 32SF114492. The engine was rebuilt by FOMOCO in Boston years ago. Has 10 over pistons and 1...

Re: Who's gonna fill their shoes?
I met Ol' possum at Collier Jaguar in Orlando. He had a Jaguar that we worked on and if I remember right he lived near Lakeland at the time. Of course the tag on his car was "No Show". He was a fine...

Re: Adjusting Fuel Level in King Seeley Gauge
Chip at Straight Eight says the green and red fluid have a spg of 2.98 or 2.99. So I think it should work. Maybe green will not fade? I replaced a bad capillary line and cleaned the gauge reservoir...

Re: Adjusting Fuel Level in King Seeley Gauge
Does anyone know if the KS green fluid sold by StraightEight can be used in Ford gauges? My 1933 Ford BB had green fluid in the fuel gauge before the cap line broke. Did any Fords use green fluid?

Re: Lost voltage to coil while cranking
JSeery you are right. Took the resistor out of circuit and it starts fine. Took her for a 15 mile test drive and did great except for running out of gas. Got to fix that fuel gauge.

Marko39 , what does the resistor do o a 6 volt system? Yes I have one right beside the fuse block. What is it dropping the current to? All gauges are mechanical. If I take the resistor out of circuit...

Re: Lost voltage to coil while cranking
Richard, 1933 does not use a solenoid. It uses a heavy contact foot switch, so you manually make the connection to the starter. I am leaning toward the voltage resistor as maybe the problem. What...

Lost voltage to coil while cranking
OK maybe I am beating a dead horse, but I seem to lose most of the voltage to my ignition coil during cranking with the starter. I have run 0 and 00 cables to ground and starter. I have cleaned the...

Re: 33-34 Pickup/B/BB window channel
C&G actually helped me get the window channel from MAC's. They looked up the NEW number for the channel sticks from MAC and checked stock. C&G did not have channel sticks. So I called MAC back with...
