I have just done the inside of our 33,using dynamat,
great ,I did from the top of the firewall to the back of the floor under the rear seat,
VERY quite and a lot cooler.

I use an old crankshaft ,cut off at the start of the rear main, hold it by the rear main part and clock it up in the 4 jaw,then bolt the flywheel to it.

I can tell you from experience it WILL cause a problem.
On the 33 original babbit engine that we used in the 33 for a long time.
I had it rebuilt but used the best old valves and guides.(dumb)

I set them with out the springs on, before the crank and rods are in, no assylube on the cam, just eng oil, same in the bearings,
once set all the valves and followers go into a table with 1234etc ...

Over a few years in my 33 babbit engine, I had this problem.
My fault first up, using old guides and valves.
next try better valves . still same problem,
3 rd try (slow learner) good valves and...

Keith , the speedo cable is OK ,it was just the stock LHD one,and as such is routed in the wrong way.and too short.
I found an old original RHD one and fitted that,
I have a source of the RHD ones...

Kevin, yes I know the cable needs to be 81.5
I thought about turning the turtle the other way and drilling a new how in the t/wall in the same place as the existing one but on the right hand...

Mine is still OK, but as I,m putting in some dyna mat insulation and can see I have a LH drive one fitted and its does not fit properly as its too short,
