I saw an OUTHOUSE, with SQUARE HOLES! I "guess" the builder didn't take GEOMETRY???

The answer will be in there. Remember, when diagnosing it, stuff inside moves the OPPOSITE of the way the shifter moves.

Chevs' broke a rear axle on every 3rd BACK UP. Many hauled spare axles. "Wunder" if Left & Right were interchangeable? At least, they were EASY to change. Chief wuz an artist @ removing the broken...

In earlier times, TRUNKS were IMPORTANT for storage, in the homes, in the barns & ON the cars, for traveling.
Wish I knew the history of my REALLY Old, Large trunk! Lock looks as if it was SHOT out...

The speedo didn't work on my first Model A, I figgered out that 10 Amps equaled 43 MPH.

IF the 2 speedos don't agree, take an average of the TWO.
Someone asked 3 Cowboys, "Whut time is it"---They produced 3 pocket watches, each with different times & all four "AGREED" on the CORRECT...

BACKLUSHING is AIR/WATER, pushed through the radumator & block, in the reverse of normal flow
You can make up one. An expanding "plumbers helper", attached to a garden hose & a long 1/8" copper...

The holes for the holder/upper bar, are not TOO CRITICAL.
It "might" be easier, to just trade your car for one with a TRUNK. Cars with TRUNKS, should command a higher selling price. GRUMBLE SEATS...

Those are CUTEY, little "C" clamps. "Maybe" they could be used for clamping multiple sheet metal parts, for PRECISE drilling, in a drill press. OR for clamping your eye lids together, whin you can't...

Moisture/corrosion is common, where dist goes into head. I fill the hole with Vaseline, before poking in the dist.

REMEMBER, RUST FLAKES, stuck in the top of radiator tubes, is the most common cause of OVERHEATING. Proper periodic BACKFLUSHING, is a MUST! Much like your plugged up ARTERIES.

BUT, adding ANYTHING, in the tube or cap raises crankcase pressure & causes more leakage, especially at the REAR MAIN.
Mist is mainly a problem at higher speeds & longer runs, THEN, just use a sock...

Mines' orfice hole was worn & I could even use SAND BOX, sand, after running it through a Flour Sifter.
