if there is no lubricant on the gears and backlash is on the high side it could just be the pinion tooth contacting the ring gear tooth

Over 25 years on the A&L condenser ----no need for spare, I have cooked it hot enough to melt solder, I think the casing will rust out before it fails ----but if you are using "modern" points and...

I would say yes, the plate has also been used in trucks with vacuum 2 speed rears, and power brakes, I would like to make one using phenolic as heat isolation, that way it can be dual purpose

Where do you have the oil level, if it is at the "F"or above I have seen oil spray out the breather till it gets below the "F", try lowering the oil level some

there was a plate for the southwind heater, just small vacuum ports about the size of the wiper port, then the columbia plate with about 3/8 holes

It's a 29 generator, look closer , one brush pivot is mounted on a ring, that's the third brush you move the whole assembly, brush, pivot post, spring

With dual wheels the outer nut has to be backed off to tighten the inner nut
Probably the spec is "good and tight", and re tight after 50 miles

The die cast one that broke is the cheapest one, some had die cast sleeve too, they wore out quickly, I have one of those pulleys on my smiths compressor-- it broke, I got a replacement the same from...

There are many different aftermarket crank pulleys made--- the model A was a big market for "improved",and cheaper parts, the originals are all one piece, the 2 piece ones are for quick fix

By rocking the crankshaft and looking for movement, also a finger spanning both surfaces can feel slight movement--- sometimes even watching the oil squish out-- if it squirts out the side it's most...

check polarity of fields ---one has to be "north"--you can do it from outside, only put compass close when power is on (field energized) or you can change compass
with armature on growler measure...

I put in 35 watt direct fit halogen bulbs, -it was a miracle, now lights up signs 1/4 mile away--they use less electric than 50cp regular bulbs
Got 16 years out of optima battery so stock generator...
