There were no manufacturer markings on the screwdriver, so it might have been possible but I have never heard exactly who made them.

But, by doing so you void your right to complain when you can't sell the car for what you think it's worth.

Not true, with correctly (key word, correctly) restored headlights you will be fine.


I will admit that if you want to use modern accessories that use a lot of current, the alternator is the way...

The original ones work until they don't. They are just a relay. If it stops working the prevalent problem is the ground wire has become unsoldered.


Same with the ones with a diode, they too work...

If you remove one wire from the meter and the car will not start then you have a bad meter. If the car still starts then you have a wiring error'

Sacramento vintage ford sells 10,12, and 14 gauge wire. The also make the wire most vendors sell. I would call them and ask.
