Radiator expansion tank
The rad on my 53 v8 has an aftermarket plastic expansion bottle connected to the overflow pipe. I managed to loose the cap for it today😕 Thinking of either removing the bottle or perhaps fitting...

I just did mine, got the box out(just) but to reinstall I had to remove the crescent shaped mounting from the crossmember, would have been "much" easier had I removed that first!

Looks like I've messed up the preload tension, will need to get it set up properly, just hope I haven't caused any expensive damage!

Correct diff oil 8" ford
I had to change the pinion oil seal on my falcon, has a regular non posi diff. About a pint of thick gloopy black oil came out! The regular gear oil I used was much thinner. I'm pretty sure it's...

Yes, I would like to get that book
The outer case on mine has no paint on it now! Looks almost like polished aluminium now, I will leave it as is, I've painted the back casing,rad etc satin black...

Thanks for the replies. Took it apart today, all kinds of ancient crud in there!! Got the fan motor working, will need to get the heater rad checked out but it looks in very good condition

Yes that would make sense, the rod ends at the base of the carb, opposite side to the throttle linkage tho
Could someone tell me where the 2 heater pipes will connect to the motor
