Re: Ignition switch woes

The ignition switch needs replacement and i believe your not reading the Ohms correctly should be on the K (Thousand) ohm scale for the secondary.

You may want to check out a Chassis parts book for the part your seeing as cracked. There is an upper bushing under the steering wheel, many replace with a bearing.

Re: Stromberg 67 over small 97

I have not seen the Carb. marked "67 over 97" From what I have seen the 67 is marked nowhere near the 97. The 67 was used on passenger vehicles.

IMO: Ford rebuilt carburetors and exchanged the...

The V8 Club 35-36 Ford Book on page 129 illustrates the 35 spare wheel antenna. Great book available on their web site.

Re: 35 Ford Exterior Door Handle

The 38 hardware book indicates the front can be used on the rear if the rear handle was not available. It appears to be a simple drill and tap for the 10-32 screw, if necessary.

Re: 35 Ford Exterior Door Handle

The 3W and the Cabriolet also used die cast handles, but the Conv. Sedan handle is unique. The 3W and Cabriolet handle shaft has a recess in the square operator shaft. I bought 48-702350 from Mac's...

Re: ford aluminum heads

If the heads you have now have a part number embossed what is it? This could give you a good idea if they are for flat top pistons. Otherwise the best way to tell is to remove a head.

Re: ford aluminum heads

Since your car does not have the original heads, you have to make sure the pistons are flat top otherwise the original 35 style heads will not work.

Re: 33 Tranny to Driveshaft Oil Leak

The bearing can be replaced with a bearing that has a seal on one side, the output side. You may have too much oil in the case.

Re: '37 Ford all locked up

I agree the locked up condition does sound like the transmission is in two gears. It also sounds like the battery is bad. I suggest he take the battery to an auto parts store and have it tested or...

Re: 34 five window seat

Not sure of 33-34 but the 35 seat does use angle brackets on the upper, rear L & R top corners of the back rest to the sides of the side pieces.

Re: 1941 convertible backfire to carb, with video

Fuel pressure is too high 2 to 2-1/2. The high pressure will cause engine to flood with fuel, since the carburetor fuel shut off valve was not designed for the pressure you have.

Can you...
