Re: Patching Inner Tubes

I've done a little research a few years ago. I found that you can use a tube to patch a tube. I have patched a tube for a trailer that has wide 5 rims that was pretty bad. It had a bunch of cracks...

Re: AA Truck rear axle question .

John,

I've never taken a really close look at a wire wheel on a bevel axle or visa versa, but I can tell you that we have a doodlebug that has a bevel rear axle in it and had reverse dish wheels...

Re: Model AA trans problems

Paul,

Hope you feel better soon. It's the powder mill barn in Enfield. There are a couple posts about it. I think it may start at 8 or 9? It's only $2 bucks to get in I think.

Re: Model AA trans problems

It's been a while since I took a cover off a 4 speed. Could you get some more pictures of the front shifter fork? It looks like it's broken, but it's a little hard to tell form the photo. You...

Re: Model AA trans problems

Where abouts are you located in CT? I would second taking the top of the transmission off to see what is going on in there. Do you store it outside or undercover?

Re: Adjustable or Non Adjustable Lifters ?

Silly question, How do they harden those lifters? Is it material or heat treating?

Re: Stuck Clutch question ??????

When the clutch was stuck on my tractor, I put the bucket down and probably scooped up about a foot of dirt and the tractor was still moving. That clutch did not want to unstick. Some of them free...

Re: Stuck Clutch question ??????

My grandfather had such a stick for his International tractor. I actually have one for my Ford tractor, but haven't used it yet. I would think that it may possibly wear the pressure plate and...

Re: Oil Pan threads for drain plug

Steve,

I don't believe the oil plug hole goes in to the oil pan. If I remember correctly, it goes in to the oil passage where the oil pump body slips up through.

Steve,

Did you say that you couldn't get the oil pump plug on the side of the block out?

Re: Front Spring shackle

Steve,

You're pretty close to me, as I am in Lebanon, and my parents live in Vernon. We have some spare front axles if you need parts.

Re: Front Spring shackle

Where in Connecticut are you located? I may be able to give you a hand if you aren't too far away. I do have a spring spreader that will work on front springs.

Re: Any Impressions on the 4 Door for Sale in this Ad?

Sketchy!! Must sell, war in my country and must sell. Really? Smells kinda fishy to me. What's up with the pictures of the car together and then the pictures with the car half taken apart?

Re: tyre removal AA truck

I believe it is like a model "t" whereas you have to remove the "wheel" from the "rim" first, then take the tire off the rim.

Re: Are all 28 29 gas tanks the same

Steve,

I didn't think they would interchange because of the differences in the firewall. My fathers sedan has two "rows" of bolts rather than the single "row" that all the other 28/29's have.

They will all interchange except for the four door sedans.
