Am I crazy to maybe convert it back to all 6V? Given the Sun Valley is pretty rare, maybe it would be better to be original spec?

Ah, got it. That little button is a bitch to get at, but once I was able to get my fat fingers in there so I could push in the spring-loaded button the rod came right out. Thanks guys.
