As for me, I drive too. Judging bums me out most of the time. Just put 2K miles on my 35 beater.


Edit: Still I prefer to use correct fasteners. I have to replace a couple of hundred on my car...

To do the same test, I've taken a long stout screwdriver (with a good insulated handle) and placed it between the top of the plug and the head. This shorts the plug and the cylinder will drop out.

I've just done a bunch of replacing wires on my '35 Fordor. If you have original wires they are copper covered with fabric. New style replacement is copper, jacket, and fabric.
