Re: It’s a thing of beauty! But now some questions…

Re: Fuel pump / vaporlock

Just thinking this through, but if the vacuum wipers are in the off position isn't it the same as the hose being plugged? There is no vacuum being circulated.

Re: 1950 Horn Button

Yours is for a Deluxe model. Also, there are no chrome caps on the pointed ends of the dash on a DeLuxe model.

Re: 1950 Horn Button

The Custom Deluxe cars had the chrome horn rim, the Deluxe did not have them.

Re: Copper coat gasket spray.

FYI, I was looking for the exhaust sealant and found the correct name to be Walker acousti/seal. Autozone shows it for about 1/2 of NAPA's price.

Re: generator technical

Good for you for thinking it through. Some of the one-wire alternators have to be revved a little to charge after starting the engine every time, some don't. Don't be alarmed if you have to rev it a...

Re: 59 AB camshaft install Help

Maybe put the oil pump back in to provide a little resistance on the idler gear so it won't turn as easily with the cam shaft as you try to align the gears.

Re: 1952 customline ignition key and lights

The switches don't care if they are switching 12 or 6 volts. Find original switches and replace the aftermarket switches.

Re: Electric fans
