Hi All

Thanks for the all the inputs.

Removed the offending pipe and fitted the oil filter kit, all seems well (so far:))

Just pulled the tappet cover off to fit an oil filter kit and where the pipe is to be located for the oil filter feed a pipe has already been fitted and is pointed down into the timing cover. Now...

Bill is right ref modern thermostats, however I think this only applies to good quality stats such as those produced by Stant or the other quality manufacturers. I wonder who actually makes the stats...

I'm in the 40/45 camp not only for mechanical reasons! Over here a lot of people think a Model A's 1929 brakes are better than those in a modern car :)

My A also had a really badly fitted set of 39 - 41 brakes when I bought it.
I've upgraded these to the 46-48 the same as yours.

Big fat spark, no fuse issues
