When I had a generator I had more than enough room to play with the belt and easily install and remove it.

Now with this Powermaster because it is so wide it is a different ball game with a belt....

I am thinking of installing a Murray harmonic balancer. The problem I see is that I have an alternator that looks like a generator. There is not much room between the block and the lower water...

This is the K&N that I have. It measures 3-3/8 long. I have had it a while and don't remember where I bought it.

Red Quail. They have the best fuel filters I have ever tried. A little more...

I guess you could make an air filter out of anything. But why bother. I have a K&N and it works fine out of the box.

But if you're going to put a Pinto engine in an A then you might as well move the gas tank to the back of the car, and wait to be rear-ended.:)

Follow up:

With oil number 1.90 number 2.90 number 3. 75 number 4. 70
No oil. 100, 90,70, 70.

What does that tell you?

The head was retoruqed before the test, both hot and cold.

I will redo the test and squirt oil in the cylinders and report back.

Can you help decipher what the numbers are saying, and what would you do?

I have a 6.1 head, bcarb, intake bored.

I forgot to put oil in the cylinders after each cylinder test, throttle is wide...

J. your theory shows it does not knock when the clutch is not depressed on startup.

So, how is this fixed? If it doesn't hurt anything I won't bother.
