Re: Battery Isolator switch

I would also agree that fixing the problem would be best. I recently worked on a Model A with this disconnect switch. There was so much corrosion/resistance in the contacts that it wouldn't let the...

Re: Greyhound shipping advice offered

Greyhound is pretty cheap to ship items but don't offer any tracking or estimate of arrival date or time. I used them a few years ago to ship a 1930 cowl from Montana to Wisconsin. It took several...

Curious of your preference

I was wondering what everyone's preference is regarding using the foot pedal accelerator or the lever on the steering column. I tend to use the foot pedal from a stop to get up to speed then switch...

Re: Wood for bodies

Thanks for all the replies. I have someone willing to part with a lot of ash so I might go with it. I still might use oak for the subrails because of the size needed. Is this a bad idea? I am...

Thanks for all the replies!! This engine was rebuilt about 3000 miles ago. The plunger and spring were replaced. I will look more into the drive gear and check with the place that did the main...

Camshaft jumping forward

I had my engine out to get the main shims adjusted. I have the engine back in and went to check the timing. The timing pin bounces out about 1/4" at the exact same spot in the rotation. I also can...

Re: Wreaths Across America

Members of the Central Wisconsin MAFCA also volunteered at the Veterans Home in King today to lay wreaths at their cemetery. It was a very humbling experience and something I will always remember.

Does anyone have any preference between the reproduction hoods made by Rootlieb or Brookville Roadster? I need to buy one and any advice would be appreciated.

Tom,
I saw this Nipper radiator ornament at a phonograph show years ago and had to have it. It came off a delivery vehicle for a phonograph shop years ago. I have come across one other in over 30...

Thanks for the advice. I ordered the switch from A&L already today but I might try your suggestion on one of my other Model As for comparison.

Re: 30/31 Brake light switch

Thanks for all the posts. I do have the brake pedal return spring installed. The gap is about 1/8" from the rod pad to the switch rod. I will be giving A&L a call and get a good switch on order. ...

Re: GPS on 6VDC?
