Re: 1939 Ford Tudor side window

Re: 1939 Ford Tudor side window

According to Nu Relics their wndow follows the same path, "Smoker's vent", as the original so the windows should be stock size.

I am using the original manual regulators. There were no windows in...

I'm having trouble posting a pic but try NuRelics website. They make power windows that use the same lifts as stock. They have a picture of how to mount the glass to the lift. It shows length and...

Transmission mount to transmission

What torque value for the 6 bolts that attach the trans mount to the trans, 1939 Ford. Or just tighten them real good. I looked up torque values for 3/8" bolts. It varies from 20 to 30 ft lbs...

Re: 1938 window channel

Maybe a universal? You'll have to figure out how to attach it.

1939 Ford Tudor glass channel/lift

My '39 Ford Tudor project came with new repro glass channels/lifts. They don't fit very well. The channel where they attach to the regulator is poorly shaped. In fact CW Moss states online that only...

Re: 1939 Ford window felt kit

Likely also. Maybe top and sides. It is attached by adhesive on the underside.

I figured that was it. Not too many other places to put it. I just didn't to put it on and find out it's wrong.

Re: 1939 Ford window felt kit

1939 Ford window felt kit

I bought a project that had all the window felt removed. The project came with the Vintique kit for all windows. Most of the kit is obvious. Where does the roll go that is on the picture?

Thanks

Re: 1938 sedan right rear side glass

I don't mean to hijack but I guess I did. How the heck do you get the rear side window regulator out? It' loose but there isn't enough space between the inner body and the body for the crank tower to...

Re: 1939 Ford Tudor front seat position

I think my floor is ok. From searches it looks like the seat mounts are separate pieces. They have not been available but I see Ecklers SAYS they carry them I'll see.

Re: '39 Deluxe hinge boss repair (stripped threads)

A 5/16 fine T-nut, another suggested repair, has the same OD as the boss. I guess over size drill/tap might work.

Re: '39 Deluxe hinge boss repair (stripped threads)

Do you think there is enough wall thickness for a helicoil? The boss OD is 0.375". The helicoil requires a 0.266 drill the there are the threads to be cut. I don't know the OD of the insert. Probably...
