A Saturday auction slot is...

Re: 40 Ford Juice brake performance

Best thing you could do is get a pair of bendix brakes for the front. At least the fronts would stop you.

Re: Rack & Pinion Steering for 1947 Ford

You are asking for trouble. The geometry for the steering needs to be spot on where it is supposed to be. Otherwise you won't be able to safely steer it. I bought a 49 with a FatMan front end and the...

Re: Elusive Block Crack?

"There is also enough moisture in the exhaust to fog a mirror, even after running the engine extensively."

We often forget the products of combustion are CO2 and water.

Re: Bendix conversion F1 vs F100?

Nope, I had a set of F1 or F100 that supposedly came off of a 40. Wouldn't fit the wires.

Fuel pump stopped

I have an in-tank fuel pump in my 49 hot rod. Gas might have been in there 3 years and the fuel pump assembly was new in 2016. Gas was sort of dark when I siphoned it out. I'll bet I have to clean...

Real story on Lebarron Bonney?

Anyone know the real reason for the closure? Not making enough money? Sales declines? Or owners wanting to retire?

Re: F1 steering in a Model A

IMHO rebuilding a stock box especially a Gemmer is just as effective. I bought a converted box on ebay from a seller who didn't know what it was cheap. Very nice. But a restored stock box is also...
