Re: Where’s my water going?

This is a good thought. I have put together some tight engines and when they properly break in they run really well. As long as it's not dangeroulsy hot or blowng anti freeze all over the car, keep...

Re: Car Is Shrinking........

The first time I drove a '32 Ford I was amazed at how much better the car drove compared to my '31 Victoria. The comfort, ride, steering, gear shifting, and power of the V8 engine is a night and day...

Re: Where’s my water going?

One quart isn't a lot. You might be pushing that out the overflow at higher speeds. If you are only adding 4 cups that should not cause an overheat. When you say it overheats, does it boil over or...

Re: Where’s my water going?

When you add water, how much do you add before you see water? 1 quart, 1 gallon?

Re: Elliot Ness roadster

Unsloved Mysteries was good also. I never knew he played with early Fords.

Re: Car Is Shrinking........

I can't tell you about the number of 33 or 34 Victoria's built with a 4 cylinder. I can tell you that you will want a V8. The V8 engine makes the car so much more enjoyable. By the way, any 33-34...

Re: Car Is Shrinking........

There is more leg room. That is why they are easier to get in and out of and sit in.

Re: "Special" Intake Manifold?

This is correct as posted on the V8 Forum. The port on the right was for the vacuum assisted clutch. David is the go to guy for all 1932-1934 Ford information.

Rear shocks for a 1935 Ford

I'm looking for a pair of working, usable rear shocks for a 1935 Ford.

Email me at [email protected] or send me a PM please.

Re: Car Is Shrinking........

I had the same problem. I'm 6'1" and 215 lbs. So, I bought a V8 Ford and it solved the problem.

Re: Flat head back firing pop. pop over and over

You might want to start a new thread on this topic. It is my least favorite job. I'd rather pull a rearend and transmission.

Re: Flat head back firing pop. pop over and over

If the choke cleared it out, that would indicate a lean situation. I wonder if you have a vacuum leak or a valve(s) that stick. We might need more information.

How well does it idle?
Does...

Re: Coil adapter issue

I get it. I'd rather see a Ford coil on the distributor. If nothing else it just looks good.

Re: Swapping Engines

I really don't think you'll be dissapointed with a 24 stud, 221ci, 1939 engine or a 59A. I have a '39 pickup in stock form. It drives really nice and has plenty of power with a 3.78 rearend. I...

Re: Removing caps on '37 hubcaps?

Just use it as a pre-heat for a pizza you can bake after for your reward.

Re: Coil adapter issue

You could take an original Ford coil and send it to Skip Haney and he will rebuild it with new internals and 12 volt. Then run a stock fan.

Hopefully the prior owner didn't install an electric...

Re: Swapping Engines

I would prefer a 59A. Same power out of a stock engine but it will look like it belongs in the truck. Also the water pumps and heads won't pose a fitment issue with a 59A. The 59A is a direct...

Re: Removing caps on '37 hubcaps?

Drill a small hole on the back of the hubcap through the steel. Be careful as not to go through the stainless cap on the outside. Use compressed air to blow air into the small hole. The cap should...

Re: Skip Haney

You are correct. GM was Skip's boss. George passed a year or two ago.

Re: Driving The 52 Merc

The high temps in Southern Illinois are around 70 and the lows are in the mid 50's.
