One of the guys that was formerly in our local club took 1 1/2 to 2" out of his clutch and brake pedals, then welded them back together.

I just bought a half find can of blue that looked like it matched the crest in my radiator shroud fairly well. In 30 years no one has ever commented on it being wrong on my bumper clamp.

Oh gosh be careful. Once you change those tubes you are committed. Now that you have the sludge out, do this. Next time you change the oil (which hopefully is often) put 1/2 quart of plane jane...
