Re: The passing of Ron Rude

I will miss Ron. He was a quality person through and through. He loved his wife (who passed a few years back), his mother (who lived to 103+ years old) and Model A’s.

A phone call with Ron would...

Re: Ron Rude: hope all is well

According to a mutual friend, Ron fell and broke a hip. He is in the hospital and will be for several weeks.

Unfortunately, I inadvertently threw the paper with the contact information out. I will...

Re: Ron Rude: hope all is well

Stay safe Ron!!

As an aside, I did see a totally burned up Model A in...

Re: Model A - Day of manufacture?

Pluck, I know that you do an amazing amount of research. It would be interesting to check known original cars to see if their firewall date agreed with their engine number and the body serial number...

Re: it is with GREAT SADNESS that I Share with you

Jeff, that is what it means. I didn't want to come right out and say it. I believe that it was "common knowledge".

As I saw it Tim lived to the end. Within the last year he was on an antique car...

Re: it is with GREAT SADNESS that I Share with you

Wow, this is sad news. Though I have known him for years, things that he did for our hobby, I found out from others. When/if he helped an individual Model A guy with a part for a restoration, it also...

Re: MARC ballot and Constitution change

Sounds like the ballot was more of a survey. I didn't notice because I unwrap the magazine, look through it, read some, throw the other stuff away and put the magazine on a pile. I enjoy the...

1929 Leatherback

1929 Leatherback
I purchased this Leatherback some years back over the Internet. When I went to Wyoming to pick it up, I had to use an open trailer. On the way home, the top seam above the back...

Re: weather at Hershey

Clem, you are spot on with your week long synopsis. A little damp on Saturday but still plenty of beautiful cars to check out.

Pete Mendola's Deluxe Phaeton still is one of my all time favorites....

Richard Kilburn, I presume!

I remember you as the man who housed Fred Gooding, Ron Rude, Gar Williams?(I'm sorry I'm not sure on the name) and myself during the Grand Rapids national meet. We...

Re: Restored cars

Jeff/Illinois, unfortunately this Fordor is not mine. It, however, is a gorgeous time capsule of the Ford car that we love.

WHN, Gary Karr is the man to ask about that. He has ample experience...

Looks like the definition hasn't changed....only...
