I bought a goose neck that was drilled and taped as u describe. could not get it to stop leaking at the threads. i welded a pipe fitting at that location, than epoxy around the fitting to smooth it...

When I bought my 30 PU it had a 8 volt battery in it. Soon learned that the slighest bump in the road and my blulbs would burn out. Soon got rid of the 8 volt, problem solved.

just checking with a volt meter and spinning with and electric drill. will check the battery charger method Do I put the charger connections on the out put terminal and groung on the gen?

I have a generator that I got with and engine about a year ago. Checked to see that it had the new bearing installed, it dose. Put back together, and spin with my electric drill and I get 12.7...
