Re: Column drop/steering box rebuild questions

Assembled box today and I ended up using 2 black shims, 3 blue shims and 1 off white shim for a total of .062”. Box was built with new worm, new races and new bearings.

Does that sound about right?

Re: What are these 34 Cab floor holes for?

I have more questions on how the back rest mounts to these bottom brackets and what holds the top of the back rest in place?

And where does one buy these bottom clips?

Re: What are these 34 Cab floor holes for?

So I have a follow up question on those 3 vertical support that go into the holes in cab floor? Do they extend through the hole and the end of it rest on the frame rail? Or just extend into hole just...

34 pickup floor board/toe board/trans cover fasteners?

So mocked up my wooden floor board, metal toe or foot board and transmission cover to see how they fit together. I have no fasteners for any of these. The floor board has no holes in it so it must be...

Re: What did I find inside my rad?

Seth, gasket is 1/16” thick. It appears to be made of paper or some composite not rubber.

This engine was rebuilt over a year ago and was run on a test stand for several cycles and sat until 3...

What did I find inside my rad?

I was piddling around in the “pit” (my nickname for my 1 car garage) and peaked inside the radiator to find a small washer shaped round gasket ( 1” od , 7/16” Id) just under the water level. Where...

Re: What are these 34 Cab floor holes for?

Yes closed cab. Closeup picture is of passenger side.

That makes sense but the cab wood I removed didn’t extend to those 3 holes. They must have been cut off or rotted off. And those...

Re: Where to get 57-60 f100 steering box adjustment screw star lock and lock nut

Well I didn’t see any on their website.
