The ones I can stand and don’t understand are the twenties and thirties cars that sit so low in front that the passengers slide off the seats and there is no room for suspension movement in the front.

The gage on the dash doesn’t tell you the battery condition, it tells if the generator is working.

We always called ‘em engine pans.
They are usually both missing.
The last model A I worked on, a ‘30 roadster with a Russian B engine, has both pans.
