Is the clutch release fork properly riveted to the cross shaft?
If it is loose or the holes are worn then the spring pressure may not be enough to allow the bearing to return.

As a quick test, if you have a volt meter you can use your starter motor as a load test. Measure the voltage across the battery while you are cranking the starter motor with the ignition...

Please never inflate your tires to the pressure stated on the side wall, this is the maximum pressure. Read your side wall carefully. Check your owner's manual. For the Model A tire pressure is 35...

I believe these predate the Model A, from what you have posted your head only goes to 3 1/32". Mine goes to 3 3/4" + 1/32". The Model A bore is 3 7/8" so both are too small. One day I may...

What you have here is a Reboring Tool head, I have one similar. Here are some pictures and a copy of the patent for you. The box may have had instructions on it originally.

I also have a similar car,1929 Tudor, Seattle Assembly Plant # AS6789. This is right in between your cars and it still has a couple of the original floor mat studs riveted...
