Trail Tech TTO Tachometer

Friday am going to the Model A shop, will be test driving and doing initial break in on a rebuilt motor and testing other things they have done.

If you look at the for sale As on the internet, lots of As asking prices of 25 k and up. I do not know what they actually sell for, but a few are more than 40 K.

Looks like I misunderstood originally, and the creaky grey matter was was not up to snuff. Took awhile found the info on this link. Has to do with miss wiring towards the bottom of this link

LEDs - just a suggestion, may want to contact the LED manf, think I remember everything on the same circuit needs to be LED, can not mix other types on the same circuit. If you are paralleling off...

A Stethoscope works great, or you can do the old trick of using a large screwdriver with handle end up against your ear. Not as good but also works.


I used the screwdriver trick to track down...

Most likely best if you fuse the trailer lights separately from the rest of the wiring.


May want to consider LEDs to keep current draw down.

As long as you do not have puncture or leak sounds great, but I imagine antifreeze creates a mess when it leaks, possibly hard on the wheels?

My preferred method/opinion.
1st backflush/flush with a detergent (Dawn, Arm and Hammer Washing Soda, etc.) to remove grease/oil that may be in the system. Rust911/evaporust/thermocure does not...

Even if he was a hoarder, not saying he was, better than the parts getting junked and melted down, or in a landfill. Gives someone the chance to rebuild/reuse them.

Should not backfire - this and the skip a beat can also be caused by running too lean. GAV Not set correctly, idle mixture not set properly, carb issue, leaky intake manifold, leaky carb to intake...

Also helps to walk down the torque 5 lbs. at a time on the 2 nuts, instead of only doing 2 or 3 torque settings.

Has happened to me. After typing inadvertently hit the "reply/quick reply" instead of scrolling down and entering "post". Operator error. Everything erases and you end up with a blank reply box.

This is the info I saw, however thought I had seen a summary of the testing where the conclusion of the testing was to improve airflow/carburation, and there was more testing wanting to be performed....
