I find that it is more timing (letting the engine slow down) than double clutching. Going from first to second I put the clutch in, shift to neutral, pause, shift to second.

With my 6volt alternator the ammeter runs at zero. If I turn the lights on it deflects for about a half a second and then comes back to zero.

It is my understanding that the battery powers the starter and ignition while starting and then when the alternator gets excited it takes over. So if you then disconnect the battery the car should...

When you back off the adjuster count the clicks and write it down. When you put them back on tighten that many clicks.

There is another thread on GPS charging. Last updated this morning.

Says that the regulator is in the plug.
I use my phone and GPS on 6volts.

The brakes have a lot of pivot points that can wear slowly over time. If this happened all at once I would check all the hardware before taking the drums apart.

It sounds like the key has nothing to do with the problem.
Check the grounding strap, it maybe moving when you get in.
If you are getting 6 volts at the starter and it still will not turn over the...

Remove the rods from the actuating levers. Spin each wheel and slowly pull the lever toward the center. See where it grabs. Then set the rods to that lenght.
