The bell shaped cover at the bottom has to fit the stick. If you grind too much off there it will flop around. A good platter can build up the pits with copper plate and grind it down.

One well known engine builder doesn't do metal timing gears. Do what you haveta do ...

If your frame is getting thin, you may want to take it to a glass man and have him silicon it in.
It will help hold it all togther.

Not original, but a bit like those new ceramic tooth fillings...

The Y is mechanical advance only. The M is for Magspark.
And the C means it has the Magspark guts (may some breakers and a special cam??).
