Re: More head casting progress...

Thanks. I always seem to make just a couple short of what I need.

I have several OHV orders to fill as well as being behind on blocks. Good problem to have.

Iron Winfield heads in regular production.

After having to wait a few weeks since getting a dozen Winfield head castings in, I was finally able to get to machining them this past weekend. I think they are machining up very well. Several...

Re: B heads starting to...

Casting process is pretty much the same except for a few minor improvements. My B head has a completely different chamber than the original, which, unless I have been misinformed, is the only high...

Re: Timely Parts delivery

One thing to keep in mind is that shops like mine, that supply some parts, are having a hard time getting our supplies. I have a machine that is down and getting response from the manufacturer is...

Re: My first iron OHV casting!

Picked up some more cylinder head bullion today. 12 Winfield iron and the first OHV iron sample. They look very nice. Can't wait to machine the OHV. Winfield machining has already run parts.

Re: My first iron OHV casting!

After testing I will see if it needs it or if we can gain something. Initially, I just wanted to copy what Hardtimes sent.

Re: My first iron OHV casting!

It's a close copy. I think my ports will flow better than the original. Flow testing will be done asap.

Thanks to hardtimes for sure.

My first iron OHV casting!

Here is the first iron OHV casting. Still needs cleaned up and final shot blasting. I think it came out very nice for the fist one.

Re: First (second really) 5 main aluminum block.

On the 5 main aluminum I am aiming at mid-to upper $2000 range. They need cylinder sleeves and valve seats installed here. There is also the need for insert bearings and possibly lifter bushings. I...

I had to do some work on the 2nd OP side of the fixture to accommodate the Winfield heads since I have not machined any in this fixture before the two I am machining today. Here is the first one...

Yes. I should start machining 14 of them this week. I believe at least 10 are already spoken for.

Re: First (second really) 5 main aluminum block.

I don't have final pricing fixed yet, mainly due to uncertainty of sales. The more blocks I can make the less the price will be. Right now, people are having to pay more because I am not being...
