I guess there is a good way A dwell meter is a calibrated volt meter , carry a 9 bolt in a zip lock snd hook it up should have some needle bump from the battery ???

The springs should no need to be replaced they adjust by bending .
If they are damaged then you replace with new spring ( from specter) and readjust on a machine ??

Guys no matter whose condensor you use IT MUST HAVE A GOOD ENGINE GROUND !!!
the vertex unit uses a internal soldered ground ???
I use the .36mfds spec and have never seen a defective one ......

Yep i am hooked on the Bosch blue coil at 3.0 ohms , been buying them from amazon . I have also used the beru blue coil , a little less ohms but a good unit as well......

I have always stocked the Vertex Magneto condensors. Never seen a defective one ... .36 mfds
