Mike: Are you using the correct procedure for bleeding all for wheels? Yes, you do shut off each speed bleeder each time you fill the master cylinder and Yes, you must bleed the brakes with the drums...

As I recall in the early 60's the 265 Chevy was the power plant of choice because it was plentiful, cheap and small along with the Olds Rocket 88 and the Caddy. My 40 convert, had a 265. Wonder...

Be sure to use dielectric grease when connecting those bullets. They oxidize very easily and easily loosen.

If you can't find them, you could make some by turning down a 3/8 dia. stainless bolt on a lathe and then cut new threads. I have had success doing that.

You are using the correct wheel sequence for brake bleeding, correct?

If you decide to use Speed Bleeders, be sure to get the longer ones to make bleeding easier.

On 40 brakes that little thin split clip thing works . I even made one out of steel banding used for crating and shipping. The last photo shows the Lincoln tubes sold by MT Products that I cut down...

Are the tubes sold by DRAKE adaptable to your set up? If so, you could make your own our of 1/4 brake line....

I guess I'm in the minority but, if the pop up adds provide $$$ to keep this site afloat, I think the annoyance factor is worth it. I'd rather have the adds, than an annual fee.
