Re: Model A generator problem

If moving 3rd Brush (around 10 amps or less) does not solve the problem and you have the old type relay cut out, I would reinstall it and see if that helps. Also, Although, not a model A, but on one...

Re: Steering Lubricant Question

Some folks chose, when the 600w would leak from the steering box to put grease in the steering box, as grease would not leak out. But, the box innards are designed for oil lube not grease. Only way...

Re: Sea Foam vs MMO

I live at Lake of the Ozarks, and for moisture in fuel, most locals recommend Sea Foam in the fuel! For my engine oil, the product is MMO. So far so good!

Re: Gas tank shutoff valve

I use Permatex! Never had a problem. However had problems with new petcocks not being of quality and them leaking! Sad situation on some parts and in this case a safety issue.

Re: Hot Ammeter!

Dump the ammeter! Before doing so Check each terminal to the case of the ammeter! Also look for short or burn marks anywhere behind the suspect meter looking for a "not wanted ground point!" If...

Re: Loosen / tighten individual cylinder head nuts?

If you are noticing that kind of creosote look around the head gasket, it is already an indication that total retorquing of the entire head would be in order. The method given to me by this very...

Re: Why Grease should not be used in a Steering Gearbox

The 1930 Model A I purchased in 2016, I did not notice the grease fitting kind of added to the steering box, and the steering really was not right, but, got it home, got as much grease as I could out...
