Vincent, you can do it a cheaper way for the rear end ratio change,

Make up a 1/4 tube to screw onto your grease gun ,insert into through the filler hole and down in the box and fill the box from the bottom.

GM, you are right about the oil temp, for a long time I hade one on the 33,it would get to over 100deg C on long uphill pulls , ran around 75-80C on the flat in summer here.

I used NOS one in our 33,BUT they would throw a wire out of the commutator sometimes ,( Our 33 does lots of miles), the best fix was to get the armatures rewound, no problem since.

Ron, I always use a stock cam,And I think I have a good ign system in the helmet distributor with the 11a advance fitted and 6v.
Seems reliable enough and I think goes OK.

I'm sure that as you have gone to all the trouble of making up that neat conversion you will know that the centre of the pivot point on the U/J needs to be in exactly the same plane as the pivot...
