The drum is steel not cast iron, and the stud is welded in. The shoes are not centered. That is the way I did my brakes the 1st. time and it stopped the way you described.

In Memory of Spike

We lost another Ford Barner. We buried "Spike" (Denny Smith) today. He will be missed by some of us on Ford Barn and all of us in the Sparton Horn Region of MARC.

Sidebowl carburetors was started May 1931, when the sutoff valve was moved to the engine side of the cowl.

I have them on me Tudor, and they work good. But you have to have everything in good shape to get good brakes.
