Re: 1937 ford pickup grill repair

Do you have the lower grill apron? Maybe called a shield. It bolted inside your grill down low and would pretty much match the dimension I think you are asking about. Apologies if I am not...

Re: Anybody restore a window regulator before?

Thanks for your replies!!
Did you take them apart any further or just spray what you can see? Rivets would have to be ground to separate the gears from the plate.

Anybody restore a window regulator before?

Here's mine after a vinegar dip. I'm not sure what to do for a lasting finish. Even the re pops appear to be just painted. The various contact points will wear quick and begin to rust. Any pointers?...

Re: 40 Ford pickup vrs panel truck

Haha. Yes, I call it a truck or a pick up but apparently Ford didn't. Going by what fordors and v8coopman wrote, researching by "truck" gives specs based on 122 in wheelbase models and not the 112...

Re: 40 Ford pickup vrs panel truck

I'm working on a "commerical" car(?) 112 wheel base What Henry Ford didn't want to call a pick up or truck. Not a "panel" .
This is my build on the HAMB. I post the build there as my restoration...

Re: 40 Ford pickup vrs panel truck

Much appreciate the info. I left a fender and running board at a salvage yard as they were marked "panel" on them. Being unsure they'd fit my "commercial" truck. I'll take this information and go...

Re: 40 Ford pickup vrs panel truck

I think that's where my research gets confused-what I think of a "pickup" ford called it a "commerical" throws me off every time.
I appreciate your information.

Re: 40 Ford pickup vrs panel truck

Looks like the panel truck had the 122in wheel base, so that answers my running board question. I still can't find if the front fenders differed and I wonder about the hood. There is lots of...

Re: 1937 Ford part subsitution question

Westcotts claim their fiberglass part, lower shield is the same from 35-37. Here's the link.

I didn't realize I would be looking for two parts? A shield and a pan?? They don't produce the pan. ...

Re: 1937 Ford part subsitution question

I suppose I use "truck" and "pickup" interchangably. Do you mean truck like a 1 ton? If so-are you saying the 1 ton part differs from the pickup? Thanks.

Wanted 37 p/u inner lower grill shell

For a 1937 Ford truck.
I need a inner grill pan or apron. The piece that deflects air to the radiator. Shipped to Canada. I cant describe it much better than that.

Thanks.
