just had the same exact thing happen to mine and it ended up being the starter solenoid. Battery goes to it and then everything electrical comes off of it.

I understand all that. Bubba says that a crab style distributor should need a .25 MFD condenser and he recommends the Bosch coil. I spent all afternoon trying to find condenser ratings but no luck....

I converted my 41 to 12V and it's using a crab distributor. I just put in a Bosch blue #00012 coil, but what condenser should I use to match the coil?

If I go with 6" wide wheels does anybody have an idea of what back spacing I should use so that the tire is centered in the fender and not rubbing on anything. It looks like wheels come in 1/4 or 1/2...

It's getting harder to find anything left in junk yards around by area. I think instead of junk yard wheels I would just as soon buy a new set - I just don't know what backspacing and width would...

I have two 1941 radios: a Philco and a Zenith. Both are complete and appear to be in about the same condition. I am assuming that they do not work.

I've had that type of retainer/spring/clip on several cars and have never had a problem. Just don't stretch the spring out of shape and it will work just fine.
