My latest project is a 1970 Triumph Bonneville motorcycle. It is 12 volt, but it is also POS ground. So I will hopefully be able to get LED's for it.

Actually I use an old Turkey baster to suck out the remaining oil in the filter housing/canister. Then take paper towels and wipe the rest out.

The bolts that hold the oil filter housing/canister...

I not only have the back up electric pump on the car but a fully restored back up pump in the box. I still believe that if you have a back up you will never need it. So far that has worked for me.

Sounds like a plan. If it were me I would probably also add a washer and nut to the bottom of the bolt, after it has been threaded through the plate, but that is just me.

I used them on the frame of the car, how thick is the metal floor?

Mine were hexagon, going into hexagon holes, you will be probably be using round. Could you tack weld them after installation?

Yes, I have used them when installing PS on my 53' Merc, to fasten the end frame bracket to the car. They were used by the factory originally, for the same purpose. These are way heaver than you...

A local club member has a 52' Ford convertible and it uses the same motor as in my 53' Merc Convertible. He sent his motor to a guy in California and had it rewound, but it came back and never worked...

Is 42' Screw jacks or hydraulic?

I will be interested to see what they say when you call them. It is always nice to have someone that can rewind the top motor.
