On a stock motor the 94's will probably run better. If you must go to a single carb, get a one carb manifold. The motor will be much happier and you won't drive yourself nuts trying to tune a dual...

The varnish really should clean out with the lacquer thinner without having to resort to some sort of acid treatment. Give it a chance first before taking any more drastic steps.

Beautiful ride. Love the colors, and the v8/4sp is a wonderful combination. How did you manage to find a sunny day to take pictures in Seattle? Those are almost more rare than than the wheels :)

Yes...It's a bloody stupid question. My apologies in advance for ignorance. With that out of the way, what purpose does the threaded adjustment to the right of the accelerator on a '39 pickup...

From what I've seen of the '39 car diagrams online and the harness in my '39 pickup they seem very similar. If there's something in particular you're looking for I'd be happy to pass along some pics...
