Dean, The 30-31 radiator is taller than the 28-29 radiator.

Ford modified the old cross member by lowering the surface that the radiator mounts over to compensate for the taller radiator.

Paul, the first thing that comes to mind is making sure the entire inside of the tank is completely dry. There are some intricate baffles in the tank that are prone to trap water after washing it out...

If the car was stored with non-detergent oil there is a possibility that the oil pan is filled with sludge. Drop the pan and clean the pan and the the oil pump in keropsene and be sure to spin it to...
