I know a club in Cedar Rapids Iowa that would love to have lunch or dinner with him if he makes it though Iowa on his trip. probably even get a few cars to travel a ways with him

I have flown a pietenpol, it was built in 1929 with a model A engine but has since been upgraded to a C-65 out of a cub.

Dad and I just joined a model A club. I am the "kid" in the club, which is sad since i'll be 40 in a couple of months

I'm pretty sure there were paint and body shops in the 1930s just like today, if you want your car another color you could get it painted then just as today. It's your car, you will be the one...

nice looking car. I am a flyer too with time in several old airplanes from cubs, champs, taylorcrafts, T-6s, and even a pietenpol powered by a 40hp model A engine

Are you ever done? there's always one more thing you can do, or go back and redo because it was one of the first things you did and now its time to redo it. and if you ever do get it just perfect you...
