Phaeton folded down top rests on the spare wheel?
I have a 1929 Phaeton. When I fold down the top, the rear window rests on the spare wheel. Is that correct? Or is there some way to keep it a small distance above the spare wheel.

Phaeton top clamping bracket - which way is up?
I'm restoring a -29 Phaeton and I'm struggling with the top bow now. My question: there are two brackets that hold the bow to the windshield stanchions. Which way is up? Is the image (not mine)...

Dennis: yes the bolts to the cross member are in one of the photos. I can't see anything wrong with them.

rear bumper is not level
In order to make the rear bumper level, I need to put a wood block where the bracket is bolted to the frame. What is wrong?
